Purchasing: Shop Vintage and New Items at V for Vintage

Vintage products are unique and play an important part in our collective memory of an era as well as being a great muse for today's trends. As a one-of-a-kind item (unless you hunt all the nooks and crannies the world over for the same product with ridiculous luck), it is best that you make a purchase quick if you love it. There is only one in stock with vintage items, unless stated otherwise. I probably jumped through hoops of coincidence and persistence to attain it or spent hours sewing it in a frenetic burst of DIYness =)

Products are sold on a first come, first paid basis. In the rare occurence that multiple person buy the same vintage item before I update it as sold, I will refund via PayPal. Please keep in mind, vintage items have variations in wear and invariably make the garment look and feel one-of-a-kind. I take great care in restoring items by tailoring, steam cleaning and laundering most clothes except garments in mint condition. Noticeable flaws are mentioned in the description.

New products: We're excited to offer brand new clothing under the heading "shop new". We aim to provide a variety of apparel and accessories with charming details and vintage-inspired goodness. Check out our collection =)

All sales are final. No exchanges or refund. We try our best to describe and provide pictures of the product to the best extent. Exceptions are made when items are grossly misrepresented. In these rare returns, store credit will be issued minus shipping fees. Returns have to be approved by V for Vintage and have to be postmarked within 72 hours of the original delivery date and shipped via traceable and insured mail. For items received after this time period, we reserve the right to deny the return. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Please do not purchase vintage items to try on and return, as we provide accurate measurements for each piece. We maintain detailed photos, inspect each item carefully, and steam clean most items so please be aware when requesting a return.

Please check the measurement/sizes listed as vintage clothes are more small than our modern size scale. We do not accept returns/refunds for items that do not fit. Due to the variation in color of computer monitors, the colors on screen may vary in person. Feel free to email questions before checking out.

Clothing measurements are made laying flat. Bust and waist are measured across and doubled. Bust/chest are measured from underarm to underarm seam. Length is measured from top seam/shoulder to hem or cuff. Most vintage have no labels, so sizes are listed as approximate such as "best fits" small, large, etc; Check measurements to ensure fit. We do not accept returns/refunds for items that do not fit.

Payment
We gladly accept PayPal. It's quick, safe, and secure. You do not need a Paypal account to pay with a credit card through PayPal. We accept United States Post Office money orders. We do not accept checks. If you have questions, please email us.
Sales Tax: Unfortunately, we have to charge California State residents 9.5% sales tax on purchases.

Please allow 7-12 days for delivery. Purchases will be sent out as soon as possible through standard mail for jewelry & small items and USPS Priority for most clothes/shoes/purses. We try our best to send it out within 72 hours of your payment. We do not ship during weekends or holidays. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping. If you would like to buy insurance, email us. Please verify your shipping address is correct before finalizing order. Items are shipped from sunny southern California.

WE SHIP WORLDWIDE. We ship anywhere the US Post Office delivers. Items are sent First Class Airmail which takes 6-10 business days. International orders are subject to an additional invoice when the weight of the package is heavy or larger. Due to Post Office restrictions, items over 4 pounds will be charged Priority Mail fee, which starts at $45 usd. Feel free to email me if you would like a postage quote or would like to upgrade to Express Airmail which comes with insurance, trackable online and arrives quicker. About V for Vintage - Somehow we find each other . . .

This site spawned from my overactive imagination and hyper desire to seek out all things cute and special. The image of Molly Ringwald making her own prom dress in Pretty in Pink always stuck with me! Growing up without much and being petite (nice way of saying i'm short =), I kept content by mixing hand me downs with homemade clothes and tailoring awesome finds. I enjoy finding stylish vintage that is aesthetically appealing, quality-made with quirky details and most importantly, imbued with sentimental history. Great vintage is a true keeper and require new owners throughout the ages; that's why I am excited to discover unique pieces and imagine its new life. I love knowing that these beauties are sent all over the world.

Inspired by having the best childhood in the history of childhoods, like those afternoons spent crafting, sewing and playing with all the neighborhood kids until dusk, V for Vintage has become my dream playground. I hope my enthusiasm for acquiring sumptuous goods, rescuing girly cute things and infinite curiousity with people fuel your vintage love.
